My background

Experienced, compassionate, and trauma-informed

I am an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist with over 20 years' experience working within NHS CAMHS and community mental health services. For much of my career, I have supported children, young people, families, and professionals.

My work is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in a strong belief that therapy should meet each person where they are. I have particular experience working with trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional regulation, and neurodiversity, and I value working creatively and collaboratively to find approaches that feel accessible, respectful, and meaningful for each individual.

Alongside clinical practice, I have extensive experience in supervision.

My private practice

A space that is yours

In my private practice, I offer a calm and compassionate space where you can explore experiences at your own pace. Using art therapy and conversation, we can work together to better understand what's happening for you, strengthen resilience, and support change in a way that feels right for you.

Meet Buddy

A gentle presence in the therapy space

Buddy is my golden doodle and a therapy dog in training.

Research consistently shows that the presence of an animal can help reduce anxiety, encourage emotional openness, and create a sense of safety - particularly for children, young people, and those who find it difficult to engage through words alone.

Buddy is not always present in sessions, and his involvement is entirely optional. If you would prefer a session without him, or have any concerns, please just let me know - there is no pressure at all.

Trauma-informed

Every aspect of my practice is grounded in an understanding of trauma and its impact on the whole person.

Relational

The therapeutic relationship is central. Warmth, trust, and genuine human connection guide all of my work.

Person-centred

Therapy meets you where you are - not where a textbook thinks you should be. Your pace, your process.

Let's work together

I offer a free initial consultation - a chance to talk, ask questions, and see if we feel like a good fit. No commitment required.
